Returns & Refunds Policy

At Homeware & Tech, we strive to offer you quality products at unbeatable prices. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we’re here to help.

Eligibility for Returns

You may request a return if:

  • The item is damaged or defective upon delivery.
  • You received the wrong item.
  • The product is not as described on our website.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be in its original condition, unused, and in the original packaging.
  • Returns must be requested within 7 days of delivery.
  • A valid proof of purchase (e.g., order number or invoice) is required.

Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns for the following:

  • Items damaged due to misuse, neglect, or accident.
  • Items without original packaging or missing components.
  • Items purchased as second-hand, marked as clearance, or on promotion, unless defective.

How to Request a Return

  1. Email us at sales@homewaretech.co.za with your order number, contact details, and reason for return.
  2. Attach clear photos of the item and packaging, if damaged or incorrect.
  3. Wait for our team to review and respond with next steps.
Once approved, you may:
  • Return the item in person to our store; or
  • Use a courier service (e.g. The Courier Guy). Courier costs for non-defective returns are the responsibility of the customer.

Refunds

If your return is approved, a refund will be processed via your original method of payment within 5–10 business days. Please note:

  • Delivery fees are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error.
  • We reserve the right to inspect and test the item before approving the refund.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged upon delivery. If you need an exchange for the same item, please email us as above.

Store Credit

In some cases, we may offer store credit instead of a refund. Store credit will be issued in the form of a digital voucher that can be used in-store or online.

Faulty Items & Warranty Claims

Some products may come with a manufacturer’s warranty. In these cases:

  • The warranty details will be noted on the product page.
  • Warranty claims will be processed via the manufacturer.
  • Homeware & Tech is not liable for delays or rejections of warranty claims.
